A Weixin warning regarding Chen Xing

The warning in question.

A Weixin chat log was circulating online in late June, 2025, regarding a serial fraudulent cat adopter and abuser, Chen Xing (陈星), The warning mentioned that Chen Xing was allegedly posing as an adopter to abuse cats. It stated that he had been spotted with a cage at Honghu Park (洪湖公园), that he was originally from Hubei and living in Bao’an (宝安区), and that he frequently changed his Weixin name. The warning advised against giving cats to him for adoption, claiming that he gained trust by sharing his ID card, later killed the cats while telling owners they had run away, and threatened violence when confronted. It also noted inconsistencies in his stated residence, with him previously claiming to live in Bao’an but later saying he was living in Huizhou (惠州) and working in Pingshan (坪山).
